Jean Hsu

I'm a writer, leadership coach, engineering leader, and mom of three.

About me

After starting my career at Google, I spent the last 15 years at early-stage startups, including Pulse and Medium before moving into VP of Engineering roles at Range and Productable. I also founded a leadership development company focused to help engineering leaders build alignment and influence.

After leaving my latest startup in 2024, I'm writing, coaching, and enjoying space for creative projects.

I have three kids and live in Berkeley.

Coaching

I coach engineers, tech professionals, and engineering executives ready for change — whether in their careers, leadership roles, or personal lives — and provide thoughtful, personalized support to navigate transitions with clarity and confidence.

As a former startup engineering leader, experienced workshop facilitator, and co-active trained coach, I blend open-ended inquiry to uncover your true aspirations with actionable strategies designed to drive meaningful, lasting change.
